Background

Claydons Academy is an International Dance Teachers Association (I.D.T.A) registered school established in 1998 offering classes in Ballet , Tap , Freestyle, Gymnastic Dance, Drama, Musical Theatre and Cheerleading for all ages and abilities.

The Academy runs classes in drama to encourage confidence, discipline and imagination which when combined with the other dance disciplines provides invaluable social skills. Dance is a great way to stay fit, healthy, supple and provides a great sense of achievement for all ages.

The academy prides itself in the belief that fun is the most important element in teaching dance. We currently have over 450 pupils enjoying various subjects at 9 branches across the home counties. All pupils are encouraged to take part in charity work, cabarets, fetes, village shows and school fairs, whatever their standard.

The academy also provides dancers for professional shows, many by invitation throughout the area, and cabaret performances for special events. 

The Academy Structures it's lessons on the I.D.T.A Syllabus which provides children at all levels the chance to take part in regular examinations in all taught subjects. These exams can be taken from Preparatory level through to Advanced levels to a highly professional standard. 

The academy is fully insured and all staff checked so you can be sure your child is in the best capable hands.
